Inventory Specialist Liz Oakes, aka the Book Dragon, got her start in the book industry at the once-famous Phileas Fogg’s Travel Bookstore in Stanford Shopping Center, working her way up from counter help to manager. Following Phileas Fogg’s closing after 9/11, she went on to Language Quest Bookstore where she would stay for another six years. She was freelancing in editing and proofreading when she saw that Books Inc was looking for someone with book inventory experience for the newly minted non-profit Reading Bridge and jumped at the chance to return to the book industry. She can usually be found in her lair in the Reading Bridge warehouse, curating a diverse and exciting hoard of reading materials for book fairs.
